Text & Digit Tools – Privacy Notice
Version 1.0 – Effective 9 August 2026
The Polish-language version of this Notice is the governing text. This English version is an official translation provided for convenience; in the event of a conflict, the Polish version prevails.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data described in this Notice is:

No data protection officer has been appointed; this is not required for processing of this scale. Write to the address above with any question about your data.
2. What this Notice covers
This Notice covers three things: the website at textanddigit.com, email correspondence with us, and purchases of our products. Terms specific to an individual plugin are set out in the Schedule for that product at the end of this Notice.
The short version: our plugins send us nothing, the website has no analytics and no cookies, and the only personal data we hold is the email you choose to send us.
3. The plugins
Our plugins do not transmit any data to us. What each plugin stores on your computer, and confirmation that it transmits nothing, is stated in that product's Schedule.
We receive no document content, no clipboard content, no file contents and no usage data. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, no update check and no licence check. Because nothing reaches us, there is nothing for us to store, analyse or share.
4. The website
The site is a set of static pages. It runs no analytics, sets no cookies, loads nothing from third-party servers, and has no forms – the only way to contact us is the email address shown on the page. The typeface it uses is served from our own domain, so viewing a page sends no request to anyone but us.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and Cloudflare is also the authoritative DNS provider for the domain. Serving a page necessarily involves your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. Cloudflare processes these to deliver the site and to protect it against attack and abuse, under its own retention rules. We do not use this data to identify visitors and do not combine it with anything else.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – operating and securing a website.
Storage on your device. The site stores exactly one entry, vitepress-theme-appearance, recording whether you chose the light or dark appearance. It stays in your browser, is never read by us and is never sent anywhere. It is set because you asked for that appearance, so it is strictly necessary for a function you requested and no consent banner applies. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
5. Email correspondence
If you write to support@textanddigit.com or legal@textanddigit.com, we process what you send: your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message, including any attachments.
Our mailboxes are hosted within the European Economic Area by our hosting provider (uti.pl), acting as a processor on our instructions.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – answering the person who wrote to us, and keeping a record sufficient to handle a recurring problem or to establish or defend a claim. Where the correspondence concerns a licence you hold, performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) may also apply.
- Retention: 24 months from our last exchange with you, which matches the period in which a conformity claim may be raised under Polish consumer law. After that, the correspondence is deleted.
Please do not send us confidential client documents. We can almost always reproduce a problem from a description or from a small document prepared for the purpose, and material you send becomes something we then have to hold and protect.
6. Purchases
Our products are sold through the Adobe marketplace, and payment is processed by FastSpring, which acts as merchant of record.
Adobe and FastSpring collect and handle buyer information – payment details, billing address, tax data – under their own privacy policies, not this one:

We do not receive your payment details, card data or billing address. If you later write to us about a purchase, we hold only what you choose to include in that email, under section 5.
For refunds, billing questions or a request about the data those companies hold, contact Adobe or FastSpring directly.
7. Who else receives your data
We do not sell personal data, do not share it for advertising, and do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making.

Transfers outside the EEA. Serving the website involves Cloudflare's global network, which includes the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Mail is handled inside the EEA and is not transferred.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict processing while a dispute about it is resolved;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your situation;
- portability – receive data you provided in a structured, machine-readable form.
Write to legal@textanddigit.com to exercise any of these. We answer within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl. You may also complain to the authority in your own country of residence.
9. Is providing data required
No. You can read the website and use our plugins without giving us anything. If you want a reply to a support question, we need an email address to reply to – that is the only case, and it follows from what you asked for.
10. Children
Our products are professional tools for typesetting and publishing work. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly process children's data.
11. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Notice. Each version carries a version number and an effective date, and the current version is published at textanddigit.com/legal/privacy/. Where a change materially affects how we handle data already collected, we will say so in the notice itself.

Schedule A – Columns
Product: Columns, an Adobe InDesign UXP plugin for managing table column widths.
Permissions declared: none. Columns' manifest declares no permissions at all – no network access, no file system access beyond its own plugin data directory, and no clipboard access. UXP gates network access behind a permission the plugin does not hold, so Columns cannot make network requests.
Data transmitted to the Licensor: none. Not document content, not table contents, not preferences, not usage data, not error reports.
Stored on your computer: plugin preferences, and the table types you save. Saved table types are stored in your InDesign document alongside the table style they belong to, so they travel with the document and not with us.
Activation and licence checks: none. Columns contains no licence key, no activation step and no usage check. Your entitlement is held by Adobe against your Adobe account.
